Hello!

I write what I describe as semi-cozy mysteries, which means they don’t have graphic sex or violence, and very little profanity. They also contain a good dollop of humor. But they’re grounded in reality, so you won’t find much in the way of cats, cupcakes or covens.

The R&P Labs Mysteries and the Zukie Merlino Mysteries are contemporary and set in my home town of Seattle. The R&P books draw from the many hours I spent in the small laboratory where my parents – both scientists – worked, and many of the fictional staff’s projects were ones actually undertaken by that lab. The Zukie Merlino books were inspired by my Italian relatives.

The Silver and Simm Victorian series is set in the 1860s, in the Oxfordshire market town of Witney, and the Milestone Agency Victorian series, in 1880s Oxford. Both these historical series feature a pair of amateur detectives who use their various talents to solve mysteries.

The Time Traveller Trilogy, which visits various bits of English history, stemmed from an unfortunate incident.

'The Sea Witch' is a mystery I wrote more than 40 years ago but never published - it's now the first novel in the new China Cove Mystery series.

All the books are available as e-books on all major platforms and in paperback from Amazon. The Silver and Simm series is also available from Amazon in a hardback edition, and audio versions of the Milestone Agency series, the China Cove series and the Time Traveller Trilogy are available on Apple.
